Description: Intensify the ram effect, with ACCEL DFI Super-Ram hydraulic roller camshafts! These ACCEL DFI Super-Ram hydraulic roller camshafts are specifically designed to work with ACCEL DFI intake manifolds. By specifying valve-timing events with known intake manifold parameters, ACCEL has maximized the "ram effect" of the resonant pressure wave band of the ACCEL DFI plenum/runner combinations. This fills the cylinder with as much intake charge as possible, for peak volumetric efficiency and maximum performance. Thorough, repetitive dynamometer testing has been performed to verify engineering calculations and fine-tune the design of the Super-Ram profiles. These ACCEL DFI Super-Ram hydraulic roller camshafts are equipped with a unique feature--prior to final journal grinding, a cast-iron distributor drive gear and rear cam journal are pressed onto the remainder of the hardened cam. This eliminates the need to use a bronze distributor gear, which has to be inspected and replaced frequently due to normal wear of the soft bronze material.
