A four-stage shift light gives racers the advantage of selecting the anticipated rpm rise for each individual gear. A short shift protection activates the next shift point if the driver happens to come up a little short. The devices are also capable of recording 20 seconds of burnout time which is initiated by an adjustable rpm threshold. The Ultimate II tachometers record at a high rate of 100 samples per second. For the serious racer an appropriate sample rate increases the reliability of recorded data and puts it to better use when comparing runs.(minimize)
