GM TH-700 transmission will downshift from fourth to third gear anytime there is more than half throttle (except in Corvettes and some Camaros and Firebirds) so its impossible to cruise at high speeds in overdrive (fourth). This kit prevents a forced part throttle kickdown from fourth to third gear to allow cruising at high speeds in overdrive.
