CSR Ultra Light starters are proof that dynamite does come in small packages. They weigh only 6.5 lbs. (14 lbs. less than conventional OE starters) yet still crank out an impressive 1.9 hp. With their tiny size, they leave lots of header and oil pan clearance, and with their high 6.1:1 reduction gearing, they develop high-cranking power with a low-current draw. They're good for engines up to 454 c.i.d. with compression ratios of up to 11.0:1, and they're "clockable" to rotate to any of 12 solenoid positions without disassembly.
