They offer improved power throughout the rpm range for greater throttle response
and top-end horsepower. The intake and exhaust runners are CNC-machine profiled for superior flow and performance.
Designed for 1965-79 389-455 c.i.d. Pontiac engines this head is patterned after the 1969-70 Ram Air IV Pontiac cylinder head. It produces outstanding horsepower with excellent low speed torque and throttle response. It has 72cc combustion chambers and is assembled with stainless steel one-piece swirl-polished 2.11 in. intake and 1.66 in. exhaust valves with under-cut stems to promote excellent flow for more power. It also includes 2-ring positive oil control seals rocker studs and guideplates valve springs steel retainers and keepers bronze guides hardened valve seats and a 5/8 in. thick deck surface for superior durability and head gasket retention. All factory accessory bosses are included for bolt-on convenience.
