and top-end horsepower. The intake and exhaust runners are CNC-machine profiled for superior flow and performance.
Heads must be drilled for steam holes when used on 400 engines.
Designed for non-emissions 302 327 350 and 400 c.i.d. engines up to 1986 this head made 420 horsepower with the Performer RPM Power Package for small block Chevys. It has angle plugs to clear most types of exhaust headers 2.02 in. intake and 1.60 in. exhaust valves and springs that are good up to .575 in. lift cams. The 70cc combustion chambers increase compression on engines originally equipped with 76cc heads.
