Bolt-on power right out of the box. These Edelbrock Performer RPM aluminum cylinder heads feature threaded inserts in the rocker studs and exhaust manifold bolt holes for superior strength and durability plus hardened seats bronze valve guides and fully machined valve cover rails for a more consistent gasket seal. They offer improved power throughout the rpm range for greater throttle response and top-end horsepower. The intake and exhaust runners are CNC-machine profiled for superior flow and performance.Designed for 1965-79 389-455 c.i.d. Pontiac engines this head is patterned after the 1969-70 Ram Air IV Pontiac cylinder head. It produces outstanding horsepower with excellent low speed torque and throttle response. Its assembled with stainless steel one-piece swirl-polished 2.11 in. intake and 1.66 in. exhaust valves with under-cut stems to promote excellent flow for more power. Other features include 2-ring positive oil control seals rocker studs and guideplates valve springs steel retainers and keepers. It also includes bronze guides hardened valve seats and a 5/8 in. thick deck surface for superior durability and head gasket retention.
