Melling Engine Parts got its start soon after World War II. At the time, carmakers devoted themselves to making and selling new cars. Never mind, servicing older cars that might need replacement parts. The market was ripe for someone who knew how to take advantage of it. At that time, George Melling Sr. and his son Ben operated a tool shop. They saw an opportunity to manufacture high quality automotive parts. High Quality was key. You see, back in those days, aftermarket parts had a bad name. They were called “rebuilt” and the business was nicknamed the “gyp parts business”.

Name score Review
Capt Fiero 5 I put one of these in a street strip 2.8 bored out to 2.9, ran countless bottle of nitrous through the motor, reved it to 7000 on a few missed nitrous shifts. Oil pressure never dropped below 40psi at hot idle even running 5w30 full syth oil. When the motor finally did come out, the bearings all looked like new. This is a GREAT product.
