Description for Milodon Inc part# 40000
Since copper head gaskets are a solid material they will not compress so theres no need to retorque head bolts or studs.Designed for use in all high performance applications that require an extra measure of sealing or use very high compression. Whether the application is Top Fuel Circle Track or even Street there is no better sealing or more durable gasket material than solid copper. Precision CNC machined from a sheet of solid copper these gaskets offer precise bore and stud hole alignment for a drop-on fit. They are solid and will not compress so there is no need to retorque and they can not blow-out. Regardless of the type of use with proper handling and installations these gaskets are reusable for many engine rebuilds. These gaskets can be used with or without stainless steel O-ring wire installed in the block. They are totally acceptable for street use as long as a thin bead of silicone is applied on both sides of the gasket around All the water passageway holes. All cylinder bores are totally round and are not notched for valve clearance except the Hemi and TFX.It is necessary to apply a thin layer of silicone or a type of Hylomar material to both sides of the head gasket.
