Since copper head gaskets are a solid material they will not compress so theres no need to retorque head bolts or studs and they can not blow-out.It is necessary to apply a thin layer of silicone or a type of Hylomar material to both sides of the head gasket.Precision CNC-machined from a sheet of solid copper these copper head gaskets offer precise bore and stud hole alignment for a drop-on fit. Regardless of the type of use with proper handling and installations these gaskets are reusable for many engine rebuilds. They can be used with or without stainless steel O-ring wire installed in the block. They are totally acceptable for street use as long as a thin bead of silicone is applied on both sides of the gasket around all the water passageway holes. All cylinder bores are totally round and are not notched for valve clearance except for the Hemi and TFX.
