They have durable alkyd cases that resist carbon tracking, and OE-style terminals for easy, plug-in wiring installation. However, the key differences are on the inside. The core and winding materials are carefully selected and integrated to produce a hotter spark, for better all-around performance, and double-layer insulation wraps around it all to protect against "arc-through."
