The Soft Touch Engine Saver is designed to be used only with the MSD 8 ignition controls. It provides two rpm limits so you can have an overrev limit and set a low limit for consistent launches. Since the Engine Saver is only used with MSD 8 ignitions it also has a slight timing retard circuit that activates when the rev limit kicks in. This helps smooth the limit on big cubic inch high-compression engines. The Engine Saver is supplied with 7000 8000 and 9000 rpm modules and plugs directly into the MSD 8 ignitions only.
