Powermaster Racing Mini starters not only weigh a lot less than an OE starter, they also produce a whole lot more torque, while drawing a bunch less current. These Hitachi-style starters have a 3.7:1 reduction gear ratio, put out 1.9 HP, weigh just 10 lbs. (nine pounds less than an OE starter), and can turn engines with compression ratios of up to 10.0:1. These are brand new starters, and they come complete with mounting hardware and shims.
