Fidanza Introduces New Line of Short Throw Shifters.


Fidanza has teamed up with UUC Motorwerks to bring one of the finest shifter lines available. The new line addresses the “NVH factor” (Noise, Vibration, Harshness of the shift). The noise from the transmission gears as well as the chassis typically is transferred up through the shaft, where it acts like a post speaker. By incorporating a membrane separating the two pieces of stainless steel that make up the shaft, the noise is dampened greatly. The vibration that is felt in the hand is also eliminated, which results in a smoother shift and thusly results in less mis-shifts.

 

The new Fidanza shifters also use a high-quality sealed bearing. Shawn Raines, newly appointed North American Sales Manger at Fidanza had this to say about the new line .The shift is much smoother and the life of the shifter is extended due to the very limited wear associated with a bearing as opposed to the use of bushings. The use of bearings contributes immensely in reducing the harshness of the overall shift.
